AMERICA’S BOATING COURSE® For new and experienced boaters

America’s Boating Course: New York State Law requires: “all operators of motorized vessels, regardless of age,” to obtain a safe boating certificate.
The America’s Boating Club®/United States Power Squadrons’ course focuses on New and Experienced boater educational needs:
●rules of the road
●proper seamanship
●navigational aids
●know what’s new before you go
● nautical knots
●using a marine radio /GPS
This 4-week course (8 hours as required by NYS) is a blended learning experience (3 week Virtual and 1 week in person) with a proctored NYS approved exam.
All classes are hosted by certified instructors: Virtual sessions required students to have a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera enabling them to participate via ZOOM. The In-Person session will be held at Syosset HS. Education Material will be distributed prior to the first class.
