AMERICA’S BOATING COURSE® For new and experienced boaters

America’s Boating Course: New York State Law requires: “all operators of motorized vessels, regardless of age,” to obtain a safe boating certificate.
The America’s Boating Club®/United States Power Squadrons’ course focuses on New and Experienced boater educational needs: ● rules of the road ● proper seamanship
● navigational aids ● know what’s new before you go
● nautical knots ● using a marine radio /GPS
This 4-week course (8 hours as required by NYS) is a blended learning experience with a proctored NYS approved exam.
3 classes via ZOOM beginning March 4 and 4th class held in the Syosset High School Room A-11
All classes are hosted by certified instructors: Virtual sessions required students to have a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera enabling them to participate via ZOOM.
The In-Person session will be held at Syosset HS. Education Material will be distributed prior to the first class. The squadron members of Long Island are always available to help you operate your boat safely.
This Course is free for Qualified Veterans.
